"Whatever there is in a landscape emerges if we just sit still."
Thomas A. Clark
This soft handwoven wool scarf is perfect for country walks, winter outings, and watching waves - a gorgeous one of a kind accessory to keep you warm and make you smile.
It's inspired by quiet wandering beside the Atlantic ocean on those clear November days when the wind is gentle and the light is full of muted colour, the blue-green of the water calmed by the lilacs, pinks, and greys of the sky.
'November Sea' is created from Merino wool and silk. I spin the beautiful fibres on a spinning wheel, creating unique yarn to weave by hand on a small loom. The scarf is then lovingly fringed and finished.
This scarf is about 169cm (66.5in) long with an 12cm (5in) fringe, and 16.5cm (6.5in) wide.
Handmade by me when I lived on the Isle of Tiree in the Inner Hebrides, Scotland.
Hand wash with care in cool water and dry flat. May be ironed under a pressing cloth.

art textiles
I'm an artist maker in west Wales, creating with my spinning wheel and loom, looking for the beautiful in the everyday and seeking to tell small, slow stories in cloth.
The warmth of wool and the lustre of silk, the play of colour, the rhythms of the day and the fragments of memory - these are the elements that inspire me to create. I make scarves, textile jewellery, handmade cards, and woven abstract art cloth both framed and unframed. I also create handspun yarn, blended fibres for spinning and creative inspiration packs.
Some of my items were made when I lived in Scotland on the Isle of Tiree, before coming to Wales.
